So, you want to know what we are up to? Here are slivers of information and bits of Quicksilver news...
Microsoft "Super 18" = Quicksilver
One spring day in 2007 Quicksilver received an e-mail inviting us to participate in a Microsoft RFI to qualify as a Microsoft preferred video production company. Not surprisingly this was an electronic process. We made it through the RFI to the RFP. The request to go to Redmond and present our capabilities in person came next. All this was part of a strategic sourcing initiative. In June of 2007 we were ecstatic to hear we had been selected to go to contract.
So what does this mean to us? Microsoft had over 800 video production companies doing business with them prior to the initiative. Quicksilver was not one of them. As they reached out to the industry we were recommended. After the initiative there are 18 video production companies approved to do business with Microsoft and we are being called the "Super 18". Quicksilver is the only one in the Chicago area.

Platinum Award
The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) awarded Quicksilver with the Platinum Winner of its prestigious 2004 Adrian Award for Cruise Web Marketing for it's design and innovation prowess displayed on the Seabourn Cruise Line website.
Best Travel Site
The Seabourn Cruise Line website won the Seventh Annual Web Marketing Association WebAwards competition as the Best Travel Site for 2004. In addition, the judges named Seabourn's innovative Virtual Theater the 2004 Best Leisure Site.
