THE MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION®

Teaming up with a number of other professionals in the communications field, Diane MacWilliams created Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Illinois' first Board of Directors in 1985. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois now serves the entire state of Illinois and celebrates 21 years of magic with celebrations throughout the territory.

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. Its mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities.

Women's Business Development Center (WBDC)

"I have met most of the staff of the WBDC and have been greatly impressed by their commitment, knowledge, and direction in helping women in business achieve the success they deserve and are capable of," says Quicksilver President, Diane MacWilliams. Quicksilver has supported these efforts through design and web work for the WBDC.

Charity Guide®

When Michael Organ, Quicksilver's respected friend and associate and founder of Charity Guide, asked Diane MacWilliams to help build awareness and generate interest in Charity Guide, Quicksilver volunteered to redesign the Charity Guide website. We looked at the project holistically and reorganized content, chose a warm and inviting color pallette and created a logo to encapsulate the spirit of its mission.

Charity Guide continues to inspire and facilitate flexible volunteerism generating more than 800,000 volunteering decisions a year. It is the number one listing at Google as the “Volunteer Vacation” resource.
