2010 - the Quicksilver Team Looks Forward

by Laura Kalinowski, Associate Producer

Moe Amer
Controller

I am looking forward to implementing new technologies to help Quicksilver grow, achieve our vision and be successful for our clients.

Betsy Balgooyen
Senior Project Manager

Next year I look forward to more projects where the team’s skills really get used to the fullest. It is very exciting, after all the hard work, to step back and see the final product and how excited the client is about it as well. Also, excited to be getting married this spring – which may be the hardest project I have ever managed.

Chris Bartot
Senior Producer

I am looking forward to a year of volunteer work, mission trips and faith renewal. Nothing satisfies more than helping those less fortunate than me and living my faith in the process. Using our gifts to help others is a key component in our journey.

Lakshmi Jayaraman
Programmer/Developer

Next year my goal is to become an ASP.NET guru. I’m also looking forward to taking a trip to India to spend time with my mom.

Laura Kalinowski
Associate Producer

This year I’d like to master Italian. I’m fluent in Spanish, and I’ve had fun using my background in that language and culture on various projects over the last few years. It would be great to add another romance language to the mix.

Pat Lehnerer
Senior Designer

3D software and technology has come a long way since I studied it in college. I’m excited about getting reacquainted with 3D modeling and animation in 2010, especially incorporating 3D into Flash projects. Also, in 2010 there will be two weddings in my family. Seems like everyone’s lives are so crazy we don’t all get together like we used to and I’m looking forward to getting to see everybody in one place… twice!

Diane MacWilliams
President

I’m looking forward to a 34th year of energizing projects that require strategic and creative thinking followed by world class execution. We have an extraordinary team who thrives on client challenges and opportunities and the work we produce totally charges me up. I can't wait to see what next year brings!

Jeff Maslouski
Post Production Manager

New cool stuff on the horizon in 2010: infrastructure upgrades, Snow Leopard and FCP, LOST (final season), mid-term elections and a rebuilt Bear’s coaching staff (perhaps this is just wishful thinking). Old stuff that is still cool and will continue next year: being the father of two awesome boys, High-Definition, 3D and BluRay, square pixels, working out, bacon, learning interesting new giblets of information, making furniture and cool projects to delight Quicksilver’s clients.

Kathy Morris
Vice President and Executive Producer

What am I most looking forward to in 2010? Celebrating the BDO centennial; expanding vertical market support for our global consulting client; the exhilaration of the next challenging deadline; the return of prosperity and, with it, the chance to bring people face-to-face once again; the continuing love of family and friends; the possibility of romance.

Michael O’Brien
Director of Sales

In 2010, I am most looking forward to rediscovering the world we live in as seen through the eyes of my 16-month-old daughter. I am looking forward to experiencing her first caught snowflake on her tongue, her first sight of our lighted Christmas tree, her first time seeing the rebirth of spring flowers and remembering to appreciate most everything whose wonder tends to diminish as we get older.

Bill Talsma
Designer/Flash Animator

I am looking forward to improving my German, some international travel and the continued opportunity to do what I love--designing and collaborating with a great team of people.

Tyler Uteg
Associate Producer

It is my hope that 2010 will bring with it many things that will help me forget about how cold it was during the winter. This includes (but is not limited to) a World Series win for the Chicago Cubs, a chance to see the Bears begin their trek to the Super Bowl (without Lovie Smith and Ron Turner) and a long-awaited end to “LOST” on ABC. I also look forward to spending more time fishing, and taking a trip or two to somewhere warm.

Andrew Webb
Director of Internet Solutions

In 2010 I am looking forward to a college trip with my older daughter, and the process of helping her select the colleges she will apply to. This whole transition from high school to college seems momentous, especially first time up, but what better focus can there be for next year?

David Yakir
Editor/Animator

I’m looking forward to summer, playoff hockey and new challenges at work in 2010! I’m also really looking forward to the next Bears season, since this one should be forgotten.
